2022 Spiritual Life Covenant

Let’s deepen our spiritual lives and believe together for a historic move of God in our church and community in 2022. Join in our 2022 Spiritual LIfe Covenant.

…and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

Acts 4.29–31 ESV

The 2022 Spiritual Life Covenant includes daily devotions 5 days a week and a year long emphasis in prayer for CLA and the Gibsonville Area. Using Acts 4:29-31, let’s ask God for…

  2. Jesus to be glorified specifically through the ministry of healing and other signs and wonders.
  3. A lavish outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our Church and Community.

Bible Reading Plans

Use a Bible Reading Plan. There are many to choose from. We recommend any of the Navigator’s Bible Reading Plans. Use the 5-5-5 Plan, a One Year Bible, or one of the many different plans on the YouVersion Bible App. You are also welcome to use your own plan.

Join me on the As It Happened Plan, on the YouVersion Bible App on iOS or Android. This reading schedule will allow you to read the Bible in a year and follow the events as they occurred chronologically.

In addition, you can also join Pastor Bruce for 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer

You can respond online by completing the form below.

Project Angel Tree

EVERY CHILD HAS A STORY

For 2.7 million children in the U.S., that story is filled with the abandonment, loneliness and shame that come from having a mom or dad in prison. For many, it may also include following their parents down the same destructive road to incarceration. Angel Tree®, a program of Prison Fellowship, reaches out to the children of prisoners and their families with the love of Christ. This unique program gives you an opportunity to share God’s love by helping to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the families of prisoners.

SHARING CHRIST THIS CHRISTMAS

How? Sponsor the child of an incarcerated parent through CLA Project Angel Tree effort this Christmas season. Provide a wrapped gift or gifts for up to $25 total and share it with the child and members of his or her family at our CLA Christmas Service Brunch on Sunday, December 20. Pickup your sponsorship form beginning Sunday, November 8th and we will provide you with a child’s name and information to help you with your gift giving!

Outflow: An Outward Focused Life

[jwplayer mediaid=”3572″]

Join us for a conversation; an interactive presentation, on how to begin living an outward-focused life in a self-focused world. Over 5 Wednesdays, we will explore Truth, discover our evangelistic strengths, and craft personal strategies to grow in personal outreach. Our seminar begins Wednesday, November 7 at 7 PM.

Books are available for $12 at the church. You can also order the book online or download it for Kindle device or app.

Outflow can be a great field guide to letting God’s love fill you with joy that flows from you to your family, friends, neighbors, and world. Written for everyday people, Outflow inspires readers to lead joyful, outward-focused lives, powerfully connected with family and friends. . . and in those connections, to naturally share God’s love. It’s a simple, organic, and Biblical strategy. Outflow inspires a vision for living an outward focused life and provides practical tools to make that vision a reality.

The Book includes:

  • A clear model, which represents a five-step process by which readers can move from an inward to an outward focus.
  • 25 readings that support the five-week Outflow seminar.
  • Assignments – practical activities readers can do to live an outward focus with their family, community, friends, and the world at large.
