Message: “The Father’s Story, part 3” from J Bruce RItter Jr
A relationship with God the Father leads us into freedom that overcomes overwhelming fear.
A relationship with God the Father leads us into freedom that overcomes overwhelming fear.
The Father invites us into a life-giving relationship in His family through Jesus; the One, who takes away our sin and fills us with the life of the Spirit. We enter life in God’s family through cleansing as the Lamb of God takes away our sin.We embrace life in God’s family through the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Every healthy relationship requires trust. Without it, we hesitate at intimacy. Jesus came to bring us into relationship with the Father that we can only enter through trust.
Wrath and love seem like completely incompatible words, but God’s love cannot be fully understood without understanding wrath.
A message from the series “The Color of Love.” God doesn’t love you less because of what you’ve done because he doesn’t love you because of what you’ve done. God’s loving nature is made known for us through what He’s done.
God’s Not Dead part 3
We’re living in a hard climate when difficulties in life are compounded by a growing skepticism in faith and God. Life feels random and disordered at times.
When life seems random and disordered, rediscover the God, who created you with purpose.
At the base of a skeptic’s thinking and, to some extent, a Christian’s is that Faith in God is a kind of blind faith. You have to suspend thinking and reason to buy into the idea that God exists or that Jesus was born of a virgin and performed miracles and died on the cross and came back to life. In reality, the evidence for God and the truth that anchors the Christian faith is overwhelming, while much of the skeptical challenges are baseless and even absurd. Real faith isn’t blind. In fact, the existence of reason points to the existence of God.
f God can be trusted with 400 year of Silent Nights, then He can be trusted with any silent night you might be facing in your life.
There are circumstances of life when God’s voice is not heard and His presence not seen. It could happen in the news of family or personal crisis. It happens in a crisis of faith. Perhaps you’ve recently come through a time of questioning your own faith or the faith of your parents and the God that once felt so near to you as a child or teenager, you wonder now is He even real and if He’s real, can I even know Him.
Elijah, the prophet, brought the voice of God to his generation. He experienced God move among his nation with fire and rain. In part two of our series, Silent Nights, we see what happens when Elijah is not listening to God.
