Message: “He Completes Me 3” from J Bruce RItter Jr
Jesus came so that we could live in the reality of a reconciled relationship with God the Father.
Jesus came so that we could live in the reality of a reconciled relationship with God the Father.
The way forward in the will of God requires the wisdom and understanding of the Spirit of God, who builds in the follower of Jesus:
(1) A fruitful life in character and relationship.
(2) A growing relationship with God
(3) An enduring life that depends on the Spirit’s power.
(4) A worship-rich, thankful approach to life.
In Christ, our life is complete and removes our dependence upon ANYTHING or ANYONE else. Life is complete, when we entrust our future to Jesus.
Honor creates life-giving relationships. We honor others by first humbling ourselves.
The life of the Spirit flows through a life of honor. That life is built by knowing what Christ is doing in me and learning to receive people in their God-given identity.
Have you ever wanted the relationship to go a deeper, more intimate place and the other person doesn’t seem to want it? In the Old and New Testaments God is the One, who always wants the relationship He has with His creation to go to the next level. Intimacy with God requires vulnerability with God. Living in HIs provision of answered prayer requires vulnerability to the Word of God.
Our confidence in prayer is not based on what God CAN DO, but what He’s already DONE.
Worship (re)discovers the living God. It brings us into a personal experience with the resurrection power of Christ and sets our life in a new context, where life in Christ never ends, where hope never dies, where the impossible is never impossible. Personal, daily worship will keep the hope of your life and family in the power of Christ’s resurrection.
Worship is an instinct. It is more than just a happening. It is more than a decision you make at a given time or something you know you should do, should you ever find the time to do it. It is an instinct. Palm Sunday reveals our instincts to worship God. The day we commemorate as the day of Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem and the beginning of His Passion week has everything to do with compelling us to worship the King.
The downfall of any priority is THE DISTRACTION. Priorities should be the great works that we cannot leave until their accomplished.
